Emotional health is an important part of overall health. Au pairs who are emotionally healthy are in control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. They’re able to cope with life’s ups and downs of being away from home.
Being emotionally healthy doesn’t mean you’re always happy. It means you’re aware of your emotions. You can deal with both positive or negative feelings.
Emotionally healthy people still feel stress, anger, and sadness; knowing how to manage each feeling. Along with reaching out for support when a problem is more than they can handle on their own.
